Growing up on British Columbia's West Coast provided me the opportunity to enjoy boating at a very young age. My parents being avid fishermen, brought me with them daily during the fishing season between the mainland and Vancouver Island as far back as I can remember, waters I got to know well.
I can remember wrestling Salmon from the net into our boat I am certain were taller than I! Great fun!
As we lived beside a large fishing resort, I could always see the boats coming in or going out of the water and recall as a child running over to the boat launch to check out the "hot looking power boats", little did I realize then that this passion would last forever!
I have wonderful memories of spending the summer months either Salmon fishing on the Pacific Ocean, or enjoying water skiing and other water sports on one of the many local B.C. lakes, boating became a way of life.
As an adult I had planned for a long time to leave "the daily grind" of my Operational Management position with a large transportation company for an opportunity in the marine industry.
